Message*	Intelligent Communities <a href="http://ncactionnet.org/organizations/?id=1293">http://ncactionnet.org/organizations/?id=1293</a> Intelligent Communities, Inc. originated and is responsible for the development of The Intelligent Community Initiative, a unique strategy for raising educational standards and the standard of living throughout the United States. The Initiative will accomplish its objectives by tying together the below entities through a custom client-server, web-based network:<ul> <li>The School For The Intelligent Community (serving businesses, homeschoolers, and eventually as an adjunct to students otherwise outside the School);</li> <li>A Business And Facilitation Division;</li> <li>A Business Incubation Division, including micro-financing for new local community businesses.</li></ul> If successful, the Initiative will implement the following goals utilizing the revenue which directly results from the greater efficiencies (and ultimately income) that naturally flow from the network:<ul> <br /> <li>Create an environment in the local community that further attracts economic investment and development;</li> <li>Create a fun, dynamic educational model that educates its citizens (at no cost to students) for the place and time in which they live, without ignoring the important spiritual and ethical values necessary for improving that place and time;</li> <li>Accelerate the development of alternatives to fossil fuels;</li> <li>Encourage the more intelligent use of ever-scarcer commodities;</li> <li>Create an entrepreneurial model for business;</li> <li>Reduce the number of people in poverty;</li> <li>Ensure that all American children are covered under health and dental plans;</li> <li>Accelerate the development of affordable housing;</li> <li>Increase public transportation options, and work towards implementing those options with lower environmental impacts;</li> <li>Improve national security by building bridges which foster an attitude of mutual understanding between different cultures;</li> <li>Explore and implement ways towards improving the well-being of animals;</li> <li>And many, many other worthy goals . . . if it's intelligent, we're for it!</li></ul>
